Default Need fast help, 1416 passenger side replacement

...OK guys Im in the middle of this replacement and I can't find the bolt to the bracket that secures the check valve that is behind the manifold to save my life. I have moved the intake manifold and fished around. I took off another 10 mm bolt but it was obviously the wrong one. The only bolt I could see or feel has a ground strap attached to it, and somehow I don't think it is the right one. I have pretty small hands too so I can feel around back there pretty far but I'm coming up dry. After alot of swearing and skin missing from my hands, I'm about to put the intake manifold back on and say screw it. Yes I have tried the brake kleen/ wd 40 thru the valve with compressed air with no luck. I hate being defeated.

The bolt you are after screws into the back of the pass. side cylinder head. If you follow the line back from the check valve, you should be able to feel the bracket that goes down to the bolt that attaches the bracket to the head

Yeah, then you should be able to pull the entire air tube assy. from the rear of the engine. Jer.

Thanks for the replys guys. I wonder if my car is a different design or something, because I found the bolt, it is on the DRIVER's side cylinder head. I can see it if I peer down thru one of the little holes in the back of the intake manifold. The one on the passenger side holds a wire harness down below. Correct me if Im wrong but I believe it is 15 mm. The bolt is right next to the oil pressure sensor, which = buried. I cant believe how long and drawn out this process has taken. Im about to pull my hair out. I can't get to it from the passenger side, the bolt is sort of recessed and there isnt enough clearance to swing a wrench or ratchet. I can't get to it from the driver's side either., even with the brake vaccuum line moved You guys must have some really skinny hands! Any other suggestions??

OK I got it. WOW that was buried. I had to move the intake manifold even more then before, disconnecting more lines etc. Then, I BARELY got a 13mm socket back there, and it was of course stuck. I managed to loose one 13mm socket behind the motor, but using a second one I got it off. WOW what a pain, I can say this was one of the most buried sensors, topping even the OEM slave cylinder bleeder. Right now im waiting for my K&N to dry and hopefully it will work... :crosses fingers:

For those of you who did it without moving the intake, whats the secret???
