Headlight driving me crazy!! Please help!
The right headlight on my 2000 coupe works perfectly sometimes then it stops coming up. Then it will work for a few days and then stop working again. When it works it works so it's not the motor and it's not the gear. It does not have those symptoms. What else could it be!
It's driving me nuts. I hate to take it to the shop but..................

mine was doing the exact same thing right before the gear started making a grinding noise. now it comes up all the time but makes noise for a few seconds after it closes. i did a search and found that the gear change is very cheap and easy to do. yours may be starting to do the same thing mine did.

Check your electrical connections to the light as well. It sounds to me like a loose connection. If water has gotten in the socket, it can cause a bad connection too so make sure they are dry.
