Has anyone adjusted there rear hatch cover on a C-5 coupe?
My hatch is too far foward and has a large gap between the hatch and the rear suround. Also on one side the glass hits the top support.

I adjusted mine. Pretty simple, really. You need to remove the four "plugs" that hold in the B pillar, drop it down and get to the two hinges where it bolts to the body.
You need a friend to help, but if you use a spacer on each side where the hatch meets the body (where the rain always seems to run off into my rear speakers) you can get it lined up pretty good. (3/32" to 1/8" I'd guess.) Hope this helps.

You're welcome. I should have been a bit more clear about the B-pillar. You only have to remove the plastic interior part, not the whole darn B-pillar. You probably already knew that....
Also, be prepared for the hatch to slide towards the rear of the car when you loosen the bolts... the hatch is still under presssure from the lifts on either side of the hatch. That's where a friend comes in handy... I had a buddy push mine forward against the "shims" and then I tightened down the hinges. Worked like a champ.
