The Vette Ess. web site is great for a basic overview. Don't get hung up on the details just go to work. If your even considering this you have the skill level. Change the foam it'll feel like a new seat and use zip ties to attach the bottom to the frame. Hardest part for me was getting the zipper around the inside of the headrest. Good luck.
You can look at MY Corvette Photos and see what I did. It took about an hour for each seat after it was out... I added new foam and I used the new foam in the seat ( lower section ) together with the old foam... it made the seats much more comfortable and the foam is now more dense. I changed my old boring black interior to red and black.

Thanks for the input guys! I will have to order some new foam...any suggestions??? I am also thinking of adding heated seat element...anyone do this without a hitch?
Did my sport seats without a hitch. Good luck... You my want to have some plastic hole plugs on hand incase you break the ones your taking out in the seat back. Pepboys has them.. Otherwise its straight forward design..
I did mine. I added new foam to both seats. From all black to red and black. It is not difficult, if you follow the instructional link mentioned above. Mine are from Mid-America.
