NOOOOO. Nobody should Ever "clean" an 02 sensor as far as I'm concerned. At least I can tell you that Volvo doesn't advise to do so, just to replace the sensor. From all the mechanics that I've known, across the board, cleaning an 02 sensor is not cool. Just replace it.
Whats the issue anyway? Slow response? Faulty signal? Fuel trim codes?

No, just putting in my LT's and was wondering if they could be cleaned and due to the mechanic's advice. I've never had any codes or other concerns from the sensors. I'll just put some anti-seize on them and continue with the install.
