Passenger headlight stuck (no grinding)

Passenger headlight stuck (no grinding)
I've done searches on stuck headlights but all I seem to find is where the gear wore out on stock motors which caused grinding..
What happens on my car is I turn on the headlights, driver side comes up, but passenger side does not, if I open the hood and give the passenger side manual **** 1/4 turn, then turn the headlights off and back on, it works! no grinding...
The problem is I have to open the hood and turn the **** every night, what's strange is after I get the headlight up, it seems to work consistently after that, which means I can turn it off and on over and over and it works, except until the next day when I have to open the hood and repeat the process...
Any ideas from you corvette gurus? should I just replace the motor? I'm putting the car in the shop next week anyway...if so, anyone selling one?

This might sound strange but it worked for me, both of my headlight doors would not close. Put the key into the drivers door and turn clockwise twice. After a friend did this to my Vette, I got in, turned the key on, turned the lights on then off. The doors closed. He said that someone told him that would "reset everything". I had to do this several more times on my 3-week cross country trip this summer. Now my left headlight motor is growling when I shut the lights off.
