Default Stock ride height?

2000 Coupe with Z51. What should be the stock ride height? If someone can measure from the ground to the top of the fenders front and rear, I'd greatly appreciate it.

lowering on the stock bolts can give you 26 3/4" on the front, to the WW lip.

Believe it or not, I'm actually looking to raise it back to stock or close to it. I'm too lazy or don't have the time to wash the car myself as often as I'd like so I'd like to be able to get through the local car wash.

I liked the way the car looked and handled lowered but I was also scraping the front air dam all the time. I've also only washed it once this year.

Probably just a little more than 5/8" less on the F45 suspension.

I'm at 26 front and 27 rear. I had to switch car wash facilities. But I found one that accepts my car no problem!

26 in front and you can get it through a car wash? Amazing. I don't think I have one that low around here, though. If anyone happens to know one around the NW Chicago burbs, let me know.

Yes....every week!! It also accepts wider wheels. I went to 10.5 in the rear and my old car wash said he wouldn't be responsible for curb rash on the rims. So I found this new place and they do a MUCH better fob as well.

I have had this queston for a while myself...my '00 vert is 27.5 & 28.5. It seems so low and scrapes so often I thought the last guy might have wrenched it, but I see FKing1 has 25.75. He really must be replacing front end stuff often!

Wow. Someone kicked this thread up again. I took it up to about where you have it. 27.5/28.5 Don't know if it's exactly that but pretty close. Still scrapes a little through car washes but at least it's a bit easier to drive around town.

I like to think I'm more of a driver than a waxer. I'm storing the car less each year. Hard to wash the car myself when it's below freezing. With 65K miles and many track sessions on the car, it's got it's share of battle damage.

Cant believe you guys would even put your cars through a car wash and chance getting swirl marks...hand wash only
