Plugs and wires, I understand, what made you change a coil? Mechanical problems can cause a misfire code, bent pushrod, broken valve spring to mention the most common. If you havent done it already, pull one plug at a time till you pinpoint which cylinder isn't firing, then pull the coil packs and valve cover for that side and do a visual inspection.

the 8th cylinder isn't firing, no power to the injector, all the other are firing.

Could be a bad injector, or a broken wire in the harness[eeek} easy to tell if its a bad injector, switch #8 with another, pull the injector straight out and make sure you lube the o-rings and place them straight back in. If the missing cylinder moves to the new location you have a bad injector.
