Ok question hopefully someone on here can answer. I have a 2002 coupe and just bought the LG headers with NO cats and the b&b prt system for it. I had been reading where people did o2 simulators cause of only two bungs then some speaking of them now having 4 bungs. So I just got them today and of course mine has 4 bungs and I had bought o2 simulators. On to the question..
1. Do I install the rear oxygen sensors on the front with the adaptors and close off the two rear bungs and use the simulators where the rear ones used to be?
OR
2. Do I just put all 4 oxygen sensors back just like they were before since I have all 4 bungs like stock?
The idea was to get it to a dyno for a tune about a week later at the most basically. I HAD been under the impression I was going to run the simulators for now and then have them 100% deleted at the dyno. Basically just trying to figure out what to do with what I have at the moment.
Its no big deal not running the sims if you could sell those as "new" you'd be better off if your going to get tuning. Mine would throw a code once every 5 trips or so then just clear it out using the DIC.
I have the older LG's but I had to use the rear 02's in the front location of the headers.
you will likely need to use the existing rear O2 sensors as the primary sensors on the LG headers. That is, unless the LGs now come with a cable extension to lengthen the stock front sensor harnesses. In any regard, leave the rear O2s off the car, install plugs in their place. Use the O2 Simms to prevent codes, or have the codes Edit'ed when you get tuned.
You can return the O2 simulators, put the now existing rear O2 sensors in the forward (into the headers) position and plug up the rear bungs. When the car is tuned, edit out the rear sensors.
The rear sensors are there to monitor the Cats and tell the system if they are functioning properly or not. Since you have no cats, no need to bother with the rears.
The front O2 sensors will NOT reach the front bungs anyway without extension cables.

Thanks to all the help in advance!!
This is the same setup I just installed. I installed two NEW O2 sensors on the front bungs by splicing them to the old front harnesses, two O2 simms for the rear sensors, and inserted (after cutting off the wires) two old, non-useable O2 sensors in the rear bungs. I too am running w/o cats and will replace the off-road pieces with cats (after the x-pipe) when my next inspection comes up.

We supply an adapter that allows you to use the rear 02 sensors in the front position. this is because the rears have a higher wattage. then plug the rear holes with your old front 02 sensors or get some plugs to do it.
On the 04 models, we supply the needed extension cord because the sensors in the 04 have to go back in where they came from. But I don't want to confuse anyone.
Just since you have an 02 model, you will be ok using the rear sensors in the front holes using the adapters. Make sure that the wires that come from the drivers side 02 sensor always go to the drivers side, and the passenger side wires to the passenger side. That is the only thing that some folks mix up.
Just so I know I have this correct I'm going to use the front oxygen sensor harness with the adaptor on the rear oxygen sensors in the front holes. Then fill the rear holes with the old front sensors and plug the simulators into the rear harnesses.
