Are Kooks headers a direct bolt-on?

Are Kooks headers a direct bolt-on?
If one buys only the headers (no X pipe, cats,etc.), will it be a direct bolt-on, or will welding or cutting be required?

The way Kooks are made as with most headers you really need the center section with them to make it a bolt on setup.
Kooks has a ball type connector that fits in the center section be that with cats or without.
