And new products are coming this winter
I've had mine on my car for over 2 1/2 years now and they've been opened and closed literally hundreds of times. They are still working as well as when I first installed them.
I am looking at getting a pair of QTP exhaust cutouts installed on my c5 corvette, i found an exhaust shop that said they would be able to do the cutout installs, but they could not do the wiring. How expensive would it be to get the cutouts wired and the button set up inside my car, a chevorlet dealer quoted "a couple hundred bucks" but that just seemed outrageous considering its more then the cutouts themselves.

The wiring is super easy do it yourself. The cutouts come pre-wired with the switch, all you have to do is run the wires. I'd typed this up before but I'll do it again.
This is one way to skin the cat. There are other ways, some guys run the control wire the shifter then attach the wire to the torque tube.
I mounted the switch under the dash to the right of the steering wheel. I ran the power wire to the passenger footwell and tapped into the seat heater fuse for power and found a good ground under the dash. Then I ran the cutout control wire over the steering column, then behind the kick panel and under the carpet by the door back to the drivers rear wheel wheel. From the inside the car, you have to pull up the carpet on the rear wheel well. From the outside of the car, remove the rear wheel and the front side of the rear inner fender. It's easy to get out as it has only a few small screws and maybe a push pin or two. Then, from inside the car, drill a hole in the rear wheel well big enough for the connector to get through and run the wire down the inner fender down to the cutouts, zip tying it to various parts so that it remains out of the way of the exhaust or any moving parts. You should caulk the hole to keep the wire from chafing and water from coming in. I had to tie in the control wire from the other cutout down by the transmission as you want them to work in unison and they work fine from the one switch.
Hope that helps. Post in you need more information. I love my cutouts and QTP has been a great company to work with.
Here's a picture of Barry the owner. Nice guy, he's always working on new products for the Corvette and LSx world.

No where near like open headers. 1/10 the sound. You can run cutouts open all the time, though the drone at 1800 rpm gets a little annoying. With open headers you couldn't back out of the driveway without getting a headache or making the neighbors call the cops.
