Default what is a "speedline" wheel.

Just picked up a set of chromed GM ZO6 "Speedline" wheels. Can anybody tell me exactly what they are? Forged or cast? Are they Z06 specific rims from what year? How much do they weigh? (they seem to be much lighter than my chrome repros) And is $1100 a good deal for these NEW chromies?

I have 3 sets of ZO6 rims and have done a little bit of homework without getting a straight answer. Bottom line from what I see is that Speedline made factory Z06 rims for I think only 2002. I know it was a limited time. Those rims are forged and a little lighter. The other Z06 rims are spun-cast, which is still alot better than cast, but not quite as good as forged. The forged are a little lighter, but not really enough to make a huge difference. I have 2 different styles and I don' tnotice any difference at the track or on the road. If you don't hit concrete walls and you don't smash them on the road, you will never notice the strngth difference either. As far as price, I would never pay over $800.00 for a full set of perfect rims. I got one set for $40.00, anther for $800.00 w/tires. Hope this helps
