Default Headlight Question

02 vert.

The hat or top piece that rotates back when the headlights are turned on does not sit flush with the hood. I know my car was in a crash prior to me buying it but I do not know the extent of damage to the headlight area. This "hat" has some spring to it when I push it down. I checked with Chevrolet and was told that GM only sells the entire lamp assembly not each piece separately.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Mike when you open the hood you will see 2 tiny black screws that hold the cover in place. Loosen them and see how much you can adjust it. My car drove me crazy from the factory with panels that were slightly off. I just loosened everything up and re-alighned all the panels including the headlight covers.

Thanks Bob: Just tried it but it did not work. Will you be going with us to Jupiter on Sunday??

It'll be nice to finally meet you!
