Just changed my spark plugs to Delco Iridums. Car has 45K. its a FRC 2000. I wanted to change the plugs because I wanted to makes sure the stock ones weren't still there. I discovered that the car did not have the stock plugs in. Apparently, it had had a plug change before, well before the 45K mile mark. The plugs still looked good, according to my mechanic. However, the plugs it had in were BERU Silverstone. Anybody know of this plugs? My mechanic did not know about these. Just curious.

Thanks.
When I changed mine at 50k mine were AC plat. plugs. When I got the new ones they were Iridums. I told them they were the wrong plugs. He told me that GM now uses the Iridiums as a replacement in the C5 vettes. As far as the Silverstones, I've never heard of them.

I put these in my car about 300 miles ago. I'm a bit "old school" and I read about these somewhere and thought that I'd give it a go. Beru is a German company and makes a full line of plugs for use in European cars. The center electrode is silver not platinum, and silver is supposedly a better electrical conductor.
