Thanks, I think that's the best advice I've heard yet. Now about that H/C package............

I'd like to do A4 to Mn12/Mn6. But if its gonna cost anything over 3000 (which it will in total costs), I'd rather sell the car and buy a 6 spd Vette with low miles... (specially considering a member spent $6100

What do you guys think?

For me, I'd rather keep my car, and swap the transmission. I've had my car for 3 years and I know exactly where it's been and I have it exactly where I want it, except for the tranny. So, for me it would not make sense to sell it and buy a new car....cuz, it will cost way more than $6000 to get into another car. Although, for most people, you are correct, it would probably make more sense to buy another vette.

Also, the $6100 included a new rear end as well.

I'd rather keep my car as well! My vert is 100% Dynamat extreme throughout! I do not wish to do that again ever, Its takes alot of time, patients, and cut fingers. I like the way my vette is now but I wish to go MN12 for a more sportier driving experience. I do also plan to do a forged LS2 motor with twin turbo as time goes on.

Default Conversion

I love my 03 50th anniversary coupe. I have done much work to the car, like Z06 cam, cold air intake, and corsa exhaust, and new programming to the pcm.
I would love to change this car from an A4 to an M6. Even 6K seems pretty cost effective for an installed price.
Let me know what your costs become if you do this install. I still am kicking myself since delivery for buying a vette as an A4. Yet in defense of the A4, it works very well with this car.

I did mine for maybe $1500. Turn a wrench you'll save a ton of $$$

Default I am going ahead with my conversion

I cannot turn that kind of wrench to save myself money. My mechanic has quoted me $5,700 installed with the new pcm software. I am nervous about this much of a change to my vette, but the desire to have a manual has overcome me. And I know I will keep this vette for some time.
