My car, my dad and I just finished our journey from Seattle, WA to Charleston, SC and about 100 miles prior to finishing the trip the check engine light came on and the code was P0410 (Air Malfunction).
I called my buddy Paul (TALON90) and he told me it was a vaccum leak, so I am am going to investigate. There is a very slight whistling noise coming from the EGR area just in front of the driveside, so i an checking there. Any other ideas?
I did have the oil changed yesterday, but I can't think of anything down there that would have been knocked loose...is there anything?
I haven't experienced any noticeable performance loss.
Look for my message on "Active Handling-Power Loss", I have the same code P0410C&H and I've been told it may just be a loose clamp....good luck, let me know how you make out-I haven't had time to look my over yet.
I had that damn code for 6 months!! Asked down at A&A and they had narrowed down mine to air pump that only comes on for 30 seconds at start up, something to do with smog system. They just said not to worry about it... Under extended warranty so I had to take it in for seat rocking anyway, and it turned out to be the air pump just like they said. Total warranty cost for new air pump and full seat rail replacement $$1789.00 ($50.00 to me ) wow…
