Default Where Trim Meets Trim

02 vert. 6 speed

Where the radio trim bezel meets the dash board (just left of the passenger side airbag) there is a noticeable gap where the two pieces do not line up. I know this is a common problem but thought that maybe someone has been able to overcome this problem with a special technique for a better alignment. I have already tried adjusting the screws inside the radio bezel to get it to move closer together but had no luck.

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Mike

I assume you are talking about the right side not fitting flush at the top? I had this problem and tried several things but had excellent results by bending the locking tab slightly up to help it engage the dash upon reassembly. Additionally, I took a piece of double-sided tape and affixed it to the contact surface of the tab. I then reassmbled everything, holding it flush while I tightened the three screws. It looks factory perfect (is there such a thing?) and has not given me any more problems in over six months. Good luck

I have an o4 with the same problem from the passenger seat you can see the metal tabs holding in the radio . I am surprised an aftermarket company has yet to offer a better fitting piece.
