Default Question about Halltech stinger....

If I install it without drilling a hole in the air duct for the 2nd sensor and just hook it up connecting the main MAF sensor will I get codes? Has anyone installed it this way without problems? The designer forgets to put a hole in the duct for the 2nd sensor(unbelievable..) They expect you to drill it yourself after spending 249 dollars. I should just return it. It also has no clamps on the side like the OEM..(attention to detail sucks) Anyway, anyone who has one let me know if it is OK to install it without putting in the sensor closest to the throttle body...I also have had tuning done by Vette doctors...will this be an issue?

Evidently you have a 2000 or earlier Vette, since the later ones have the sensor as part of the MAF. Simple matter to drill the hole. I did it to mine. I believe it's 5/8" dia. hole, but check after you remove the sensor and grommet from the stock duct, which is a real PITA. Make sure not to damage it. And yes, you need it

I found it easier to extend the wires and drill the hole in the filter itself.I also cut six 2" holes in the foglight surround making it a true cold air intake and having the IAT outside the engine compartment can't hurt.
