Automatic Transmission fill?

Automatic Transmission fill?
I just installed a trans-go in my 97. How do I fill it back up? I pumped fluid in the drain plug all the way till it starts dripping out, but that is only a little over 3 quarts. I know for sure I took out more then 3 quarts when I droped the pan, valve body, etc... Any help would be great, thanks.

1. Raise the car so that it's level and you have room to get to the pan.
2. start the car and let it idle until the trans temp is between 86 - 125 degrees.
3. shift thru each gear pausing for a second or 2 at each detent from Park to 1 and back to Park.
4. with the engine still idling crawl under the car and pump fluid into the transmission until it just starts to overflow from the fill plug.
