I bought a CAGS eliminator from COH... I think it is a Mid America unit.
Is it supposed to surpress the 1to4 shift light... or just eliminate the lockout?
I installed it and the light still comes on, but the lockout no longer prevents me from shifting into second.....
That is its whole purpose, allows you to shift into any gear you want,Basically 1 to 2 below 20mph, but puts on the light and tells the computer what it wants to hear.
Like said above, the selenoid that activates during the skip shift is absorbed by the resistor that is in the CAGS Elim. For 50 cents you could have made your own. It is just a radio shack resistor with a weather tight connection.

Why would you EVER want to be in 2nd gear below 20mph.
