Thinner head gaskets = more hp?

Thinner head gaskets = more hp?
Just wondering, I know that getting thinner head gaskets will increase you compression ratio therefore you should be getting more hp right? Has anyone ever tried this, if so what gaskets should be used?

You get a great benefit from having the smaller quench area and the gaskets are reusable making head removal faster with little cleanup.
