A4 transmission trouble
I had my tranny rebuilt about six months (5000 miles) ago and I am scared that I already need a new one. When it went out last time I lost 3-4, but still had 1-2.
Yesterday I noticed a slight ticking or tapping that seemed like it was coming from around the transmission. I also noticed that under hard acceleration or anytime that the car would normally downshift it would just neutral out and the engine would hit the rev limiter.
Last night it just quit pulling all together. No 1-2, 3-4, reverse nothing! It just seemes a little odd to lose everything at once. Is there anything else that could be going on or is my tranny toast?
Does anyone know of a good transmission shop around the Al,Fl gulf coast area? I am pushing 400hp at the wheels and I really don't feel like doing this again in six months.
