Heys guys, i'm going to race (1/4 mile) my brother in his 03 Mach1 on 09/01. I have Vinci Tuner and was wondering which shift program to pick, stock or performance? Not sure if raising my shift RPM with a stock cam is beneficial or not. My car is an 2000 A4 with stock cam, converter with 3:15 gears. My bolt-ons are blackwing, lS6 intake and longtubes. Anyone with this tuner let me know if you have any advice. Most importantly is that I beat him!

Don't think you'll have much problems with a Mach 1. Let us know the results!
Thanks guys, I'm going to More Performance in Charlotte, NC on thursday to have Mike give me a tune before the big grudge match. Just want to make sure I don't leave any performance on the table. Just have to make sure I get a good launch.
I would set it to shift at 6200-6300 rpms. You will need to set the rev limiter to 6500 if you shift at 6300, just to be sure you don't bounce off the limiter. I am not sure how your hand held works though.
you have the same combonation that i started out with and with long tube headers and open/cold air filter you will produce 330+ at the rear wheels and will do @12.8 quarter mile. if you have access to a LS1 edit or hp tuner or efi live, i can fax you an absolute perfect shift patern for 3.15 gears. this will increase your shift rpm as well as tq c lockup. this will work as well when you install your next stage...Heads and cam, stall converter. 1-416-809-1820
Thanks for the response. I'd like to have that shift profile. is there anyway you can e-mail it to me? I'm taking it to More Performance in Charlotte tomorrow for a tune. !2.8 sounds pretty good. Don't think that Mach1 can touch that. I'll post my dyno results and ET on Saturday. Just let me know if you can e-mail me that info.
The big grudge match is over, and another mustang went down! My dyno numbers 333hp and 338tq. I ran 13.2 @ 106mph. Had problems getting traction off the line as the track was quite slick. All in all not to bad. Thanks again for all the info.

I would like to have a copy of that shift pattern too if it's not too much trouble. Can that be e-mailed?

Looks like you was right on the money with his power estimate. You would have probably got his ET too if he had traction.
