What battery for my 97?

The Delco battery in my 97 died today. What is the lattest thinking for a replacement?

Any suggestions are appreciated.

I've been very happy with the Optima Red Top. ~$100.

Don't bother getting the yellow top, that is for comercial grade stuff.. or if you've got 120000 watts worth of stereo... They use Yellow tops in police cars... but they have 1200 lights and do-dads... Go with the red top.. costco has the best price on em...

The Optima Red Top is probably your best choice, but there are two sizes. The larger (34/78) fit better in the tray and provides 800 CCA compared to my OEM Delco at 600 CCA.

If your OEM battery died, be SURE to check for any leakage! Directly under the battery tray is the main wiring harness, and the PCM.
