Has anybody experienced this? I believe the drivers side axle is clicking @ low speeds > 10mph. Plus the wheel is 3/8" out further than the pass side. Can I get some info on servicing this? Any info will be helpfull. Thanx.
Mine clicked due to a "undertorqued" axle nut.
They oiled it up and put a honker wrench on it, and torqued it to a million lb-ft (or whatever the spec is). they said it was a common problem.
I don't know about the spacing issue - are you measuring from the fender (may be just a body vs chassis variation - or are you measuring from something on the rear chassis/suspension?
Thanx for the reply. I will look into a 1,000,000 ft.lbs. torque wrench today @ Sears.
As far as the mearsurements. I measured from the plastic innner fender. Probably not a good reference point. But I just started to investigate. The dr. rr. tire is noticeably sticking out I will get in on a drive-on lift and remeasure from a solid reference point. Thanks again for the reply.
