GM 3.42 Differential difference?

GM 3.42 Differential difference?
Anyone know the differance between the GM Z06 3.42 differential and the regular C5 3.42 differential? I read that the Z06 gear sets were shotpeened but the prices I have seen show the Z06 rear to be $50 cheaper than the C5 regular, whats up with that?

I was also under the impression that the output shafts were also stronger on the Z06 Getrag...but I am sure someone will chime in on this to better clarify.
