Common problem. If you have disconnected the battery recently, or it has died, try disconnecting the battery and reconnecting it. It will force the A/C doors to go through a re-calibration. There is also a fuse pull method, but that never worked for me.
My wifes car had the exact same symptoms; We tried pulling fuses, disconnecting battery etc. I took it to a trusted tech, and he found a small leak at the back of the compressor (seal) FIxed it, charged it up and it's cold as ICE!!

Do not add freon until you have checked the codes, and additionally pulled the battery cable. I could find numorous posts like this one. Here's one from just 3 days ago.
I would think if my car needed Freon, neither side would be cold, but the right side is like an ice box(younger generation don't know about such things),right side is like a Sauna.I disconnected the battery and I am waiting 5-10 mins.,and I will hook up the battery and see what happens.I guess I will have to reset the Radio, the fobs and let my car relearn all the goodies.hee Hee ho ho its off to the garage I go.Talley Ho!

The cool thing is, your radio and fobs won't need to be reprogrammed! Don't know how, but they will retain the settings. Let us know if this works for you.

I wonder over the years how many dealerships have ripped off us Vette owners on this problem.
