Default car back after 5 months

As some of you know I was trying out my new Aussie clutch which apparently worked quite well since it broke the tires loose in downshifting into 5th at speed and broke the tires loose and into a gaurd rail which tore the nose off and wrecked a piece of the frame rail, well 5 months later its back with the new tiger shark front facia with the heavy black screens and it looks great, however it appears the pilot bearing may have been damaged when putting the motor back in so I have to put it back in the shop tom. and I am sure this 6 hour or so job will take another 2 weeks based on the time frame for the front end repair--its getting very old but at least they do great work (dealership) about 20K tab for my insurance company but then my rate went from 550 to 1300 every 6 months.

Glad to hear your car is back... I took 5 months for the body shop to fix my car too... everytime a new car came in, my car was taken off the rack and put into the corner while the paying jobs were done one after another. Thats what happens when they have your money already.

Hi Steve--boy you got that right my car would sit for 2 weeks at a time while they were tapping dents out of mini vans--if my car had not been disassembled all other the place I think I would have considered talking to the ins company about letting me take it elsewhere, hell mine sat once for over 2 weeks while the mechanic cleared his rack so he could re-install the motor--

Glad to hear you're getting underway. Been a long time coming, hasn't it. About as long a time as I spent on the new motor project though I at least didn't have delays due to a shop's inattention.

Drive safe Bill!
