Well I just went to move my car to a better spot and as soon as I put the ebrake down I noticed it didn't just fall like it normally does. It's like there is something attatched to it I had to push it down hard. The light turned off on the dash for it and I didn't notice that it was engaged while driving but this still concerns me. I had the front of the car jacked up earlier could that have done some damage to it somehow?? I know this is stupid I was also pushing down on the back end of my car to see how it looks low. I had a friend sit on the back and bounce around a bit so I could see the lowering....could this be the cause and what do you guys think is wrong? The ebrake still seems to work the same and unlock when I want it to but it just feels real heavy on the way down now.

IMHO...There is a couple of things that could create this problem. If one of the emergency brake shoes is staying out and not retracting properly and the second is an easy check. Pull up the e-brake boot and clean the old grease off the mechanism. Some have reported dried grease causing ratchet and pivoting issues.
