I posted about this in the forsale section and got several I/M's requesting pics, so rather than do that I figured I would get it all done in one swoop..
Here it is, a cheap ebay catch can.
That's a steal at 12 bucks and looks better than my GReddy. Nice find.
You won't catch me making them for $12.00, that thing has a lot of work put into it for that amount of money..
Mine has a GReddy sticker on it if you look close enough.
I forgot to mention it comes with both 9mm (small) and 15mm (large) hose nipples.
I have the same can... nice piece. it bolts to the head drilling out one of the holes in the supplied bracket. I also rotated the top piece moving the hoses position. Also, use a lil silicone sealer to make sure the bottom wont unscrew. I also then took a piece of hose and glued it in the brass fitting on the top. It extends down a lil in the can. This is on the side from the motor, not the one to the intake.
NOTE: THE PCV Valve is Now located on the other side of the canister. works MUCH better this way. It's properly oriented on the side before the can going to the motor, not the intake side. I have also cleaned up the hoses and am not using the hardline anymore.
Sorry I not to much of a motor head, but learning, what is the purpose of this, what job does it perform?
LS1's tend to have an issue of sucking oil from the PCV system. this oil gets sucked into the intake manifold. This leaves nasty oil in there and also will cause carbon buildup overtime on the pistons and stuff from burning a lot of oil. Basically this can will catch and collect the oil so it doesn't get sucked in the motor. You periodically drain it.
Don't you get it? The seller only has to pay the Ebay fee on the $12.
Not true... you pay Ebay at set fee depending on the type of auction. Then you pay Paypal a percentage of the total transaction (only if you have a business Paypal account... private use is 0%). There is no way to work the Ebay/Paypal system.
Just accept that the price + the shipping is the total shipped price.

Ah! Paypal. Now that's a different story. We were talking about Ebay fees not Paypal. You are correct in that Paypal charges the fee on the total amount of the transaction they handle but Ebay charges on the basis of the close of auction price..$12.

Is there a way to splice in the line from the valve cover to the air bridge so no oil gets sucked into the throttle body??

The pictures are poor quality from my phone but you get the idea.

In your referenced thread: is the that the exact EBAY description of the can system that you bought? It looks cool and the price is certainly right. I did a search on "C5 oil catch can" and didn't really pull up anything like yours. I know others will work, but just wanted to be sure. Did you put (stainless) steel wool in yours? Thanks!

Yes, if you buy a catch can from that ebay vendor you will get what you see in my pics.
I put steel wool in mine to help keep the bigger part of the oil in the can and let it breath at the same time.
