LS1 gasket installation question
Never used these GM gaskets before. Do you need to apply any type of sealant to the engine surface or gasketsurface? When removing them from engine they didn't have any sealant. Gasket example the front timing cover.

I didn't use anything on any of my waterpump, timing cover, or inatke gaskets, just made sure all surfaces were very clean and dry

Never thought of that before but it would help keep the O-rings for rolling over when wedged down between the heads.
