Need new tires for Z06 on the rear. Should I just replace with the F1's or go with another tire?
What is largest size without rubbing difficulties?

Reason: update
You can definately go up to 305's and possibly to 315's with the correct tire height....maybe a 30 series. It is only 10mm and 20mm increase respectively.
Lingenfelter also makes a Mini-tub kit ($895.00) where the Maximum suggested sizes for wheels and tires are 345/30-19 tires and 19x12 wheels!

A friend of mine just replaced all four tires on his 545 RWHP Z06 with the Michelin PS2's. He says the difference in ride, traction and noise is considerable!
Another vote for the Michelins. Plus, be sure to pick up a manufacturers (Michelin) brochure: Michelin offers a short term road hazard warranty on their tires. Also, contacting distributors such as the Tire Rack and Discount tire should be very helpful and informative for you. Good Luck.

My Z has BF goodrich 295/18 drag radials..Great tires,,softer compound and seem to have worn better than the standard F1's..and cheaper!!!

If you like sticky tires you cant go wrong with the Nitto NT555rII dot competition tire in a 305 in the rear and 275 up front. They are pretty cheap and stick like crazy. And you can run them with 500+ WHP with no traction problems at all. The Toyo Ra1s are similar.
