Since I have 3.42's in the Z06 and I currently run a 26in et street out back, or should I run a 28in hoosier
Does the tranny act like a stick and shift into a higher gear with the extra power...I.E. shifting into a higher gear right before the big end of the track???

There are too many variables to give you a definitive answer to your question. It all depends on what you're trapping at NA and how large of a shot you're spraying. Since your motor will rev a lot faster while spraying, if you're crossing the traps pretty close to your shift points while NA, you'll almost certainly shift into the next highest gear spraying. With my A4 car and 3.73 gears, my engine speed increases from ~5500 rpm NA to ~6000 rpm on a 75 shot while crossing the traps though I'm still in 3rd gear as my shift points are set at 6400.

Same here only I ran 3.42's with a 100 shot, I shifted at 6,500 rpm.
