I noticed that my 02 passenger side temp control **** no longer works. Drivers side works fine but the passenger **** will not change the temp setting.
Is there a way to reset the system? Hopefully it has an electronic glitch of some sort that can be fixed without taking the entire module out of the dash.
This is really not that big of a deal since otherwise the system works fine but I hate it when something doesn't work as intended.
If your passenger control changed the numbers before , then it had something wrong with it before . turning the passenger control warmer or colder only makes the passenger side turn colder or warmer than the
setting on the driver's side . good luck.
You can not adjust the temperature on the passenger side if the driver's side is turned all the way. Example, if the driver's side is set for 60 degrees, you can not adjust the passenger side. Try changing the drivers side to the middle somewhere and then change the passenger's side.
Thanks to all for the replies. Now, the BONEHEAD of the YEAR AWARD goes to.....Ta Da...ME!
I now must admit to a gigantic brain cramp for asking this question in the first place. For several weeks I didn't drive my C5. In that time period I drove my girlfriends 05 Grand Prix. Her Grand Prix has dual zone with 2 digital displays. One for the driver, one for the passenger.
Apparently I got so used to her display that when I took the C5 out I wondered why the passenger **** didn't change the temperature display. Duhhh. At least thats my story and I'm sticking to it!
Well thanks to a dose of "back to reality" from forum members I realized the error of my ways (and how the C5 dual zone operated all along).
Again, thanks to all of those that replied. The Forum is a great place even for those of us that, on occassion, lose touch with reality.
LOL... after reading your post I was getting upset thinking that MY CC system was broke, too, since the pass temp didn't change when I turned the pass ****. I'm glad to see the posts from everyone else confirming that mine is working correctly. ;-)
