Oil temp sensor gasket failure?
I have a pretty steady leak from the oil temp sensor. The gasket was just replaced. Has anyone had a problem with gasket sealing in this area?
At idle, I can see the oil seeping out around the flange. The bolts are tight, I checked.
Any suggestions? Thanks.

On the two aftermarket units I bought for the oil cooler I installed, I have a seeping problem. Otherwise, it is not leaking much... just a slight mist around the filter and pan in that area.
You may have to replace the aluminum housing the sensor is in.

Update on leaking gasket on oil temp sensor...
Guess what? There are two gaskets that fit the sensor. Only one will work though. The one that was installed caused it to leak severly.
The dealer installed the correct one under warranty. No leaking problems now.
