Wiper Switch Replacement
I have seen some thread titles in the past regarding wipers that won't shut off, however I can't seem to find anything in a search.
Whenever I switch the wipers off, they attempt to "park" but then immediately return to wiping. From the trouble shooting I've done so far, the wiper switch assembly seems to be the most likely culprit. Has anyone else had this problem, and if so, did it turn out to be the wiper switch assembly?
According to the shop manual, the switch looks like it can be replaced without removing the steering wheel. Has this been anyone else's experience? Any tips? Dos and don'ts?
Comments/tips appreciated.
BTW, the timing couldn't have been better. There's a little lady named RITA headed our way!

I've got one on order. Hopefully it will be here tomorrow. Did the steering wheel have to come off to replace?
As Mr. Murphy (of the famed Murphy's Law) would have it, I went out on my lunch time to try them again. I plugged Fuse #10 back in and OF COURSE they're working fine. This whole situation occured right after getting the car washed. Funny thing is, I washed it plenty of times before and no wiper problems. When I get time I'm going to remove the plenum, linkage, etc and Plastisol the s**t out of the circuit board if I can, plus install the new wiper switch too.
BTW, the switch assy was $99.75 from Fichtner Chev.
