Default Is this normal?

I recently picked up an '01 after passing all my sniff tests (clean carfax, great condition interior and exterior, no leaks, plenty of power, etc). However, after I brought it home (of course) I noticed a bit of a rough idle. The tach holds steady, though, so I'm not sure if it's in my head or what, but it seems to almost "miss" about every 2-3 seconds. Could this be from lack of use (since it only has 17K miles on it)? Should I start by putting some Techron in it, or is this possibly a sign of a serious engine problem?
Thanks for any help.
Tom

Start with the basic checks........ Air filter, plugs, etc. Is the gasoline old?

I don't think the gas is old (the guy seems to have taken care of it). If anything is gummed up is there a product out there to come to my rescue or am I in for a big headache?

If it is serious it should throw code on DIC. You could have it dealer checked but I would give it some time.

So possibly the problem could work itself out over time if I put some fresh gas thru it (provided no problems with plugs, air filter, etc.)?

There aren't any codes being thrown.
Thanks, everyone.

Give it a couple of tanks of Chevron 93 with Techron. Then run the H--- out of it to clean it out.

It could be a sticky injector or a plug fouling, no codes thrown I would just run a couple of tanks of gas through it and maybe change the spark plugs. Since its an 01, keep an eye on your oil consumption. Good luck with your new ride
