Default need help with audio system in a 99 c5

hello all
i live in the uk and have bought a 99 c5 coup
i the bought 2 sub woofers and 2 amplifiers to run them and soon found out that its not just a case of plug and play :-(
i then bought a soundgate converter to connect the subs up the device says it is designed to be wired after the factory amp to allow rca connection for the new after market amplifiers but i get a deep thuding through the amps when useing this.
i have read many peices of info on fitting theses in a c5 and i still cant get it to work correctly.
i have spoke to quite a few audio shops in the uk and they are all telling me the only way i will ever get this lot all working is buy pulling the complet bose system out and fitting a complet new one (non bose).
i think the the audio shops here are just trying to sell me a complet system because they dont understand the system fitted in my car.
please help as i am running out of ideas fast and the car is sitting in my drive striped down ready for the completion of the audio install.
i hope someone can help.
many thanks in advance.

All you need to do is splice into the factory harness on the back of the Delco radio. I believe the correct wires are the light blue and brown wires for left and right signal, and black for a common ground. I installed female rca jacks to these points, and then ran a set of rca cords from the rca females now attached to the factory harness through the console, to the back. Hook these to your amps low level inputs, and you should be good to go. No need for adaptors.

HI all
This was the out come.
i tryed doing as instructed but i had no joy.

But i have got it working so this post is for people haveing the same problem.

THIS SET UP BELOW IS TO GET A SUBWOOFER WORKING WHILST KEEPING THE FULL BOSE FACTORY SYSTEM INSTALLED

To get your subwoofer sounding loud and crisp you will need a unit called a (SOUNDGATE LOC4.2) and i aslo used a inline RCA level controll unit for the sub volume level control.

This is how to fit it.

1st remove the front door pannels beind them you will see 2 speekers 1 large and one small.
on the large one there is 2 terminals on the out side connect speeker wires to these (on both front doors) run these speeker wires into the SONDGATE LOC4.2
Now the outlets on the SONDGATE LOC4.2 are RCA leads
run these leads into the volume controll unit (the volume controll unit is not a nasesaty but its nice to be abel to control the volume level seprate to the head unit)
now the RCA leads go from the volume control directly to the amplifier and thats it.

i posted this as i found it very hard to find how to do this for myself and someone will be abel to fit theres useing this info.

I HOPE THIS HELPS SOMEONE
