Does anyone use a Centerforce clutch in their vette? I have been thinking about going with one. I am only going to be looking at 450whp in the future. I am also looking at an aluminum flywheel. I also read somewhere about replacing the slave cylinder.
Tried searching, but seems everyone is wanting a 600+hp clutch, I don't need that. What else do I need besides: clutch kit, flywheel, TO bearing, Pilot Bearing? and lots of beer and a lift..... I just keep thinking I read somewhere about the older c5's needing some parts that have been updated/upgraded.
I've got a Centerforce; Fly Wheel, Pressure Plate and Dual Friction Clutch. My car makes 617 hp at the flywheel, and I have not had any problems. All the guys there are friendly and helpful also.
I was told by the tuner I use (Jeff Creech- Carolina Auto Masters) that the centerforce was not the clutch to go with- he said he has seen a LOT of the break. He recommended teh Textrilla clutch.... sadly it cost nearly twice as much as the Spec clutch, at around $1K....
