I just got back from beating on my car like it owed me money.I also just insalled my Vararam b2 a couple of hours ago. When I first put in on the car was an animal. Now when I am between 60mph-160mph WOT it pings like mad.The car is obviously running lean.Does the car have to relearn now that the MAF is sensing more air?The air temp is 58 and I drove for about 40 miles with 2 heat cycles.Thanks.JER
Did you disconnect the battery for 10mins per the instructions? I skipped this step and spit some lean codes. After the battery disconnect it's been fine.
The instructions say that you need to run the car for about 45 miles above 60 mph before the computer will adjust to the increase air flow. I disconnected my battery and then when finished with the install, drove it for about 60 miles on the freeway and have had no problems. Good luck.

Sorry Dude.. WOT is not learned. WOT is Open Loop.. The only time you are learning is in Closed loop. This adjusts the fuel trims..
For WOT, You need to TELL the PCM to add more fuel..
My Vararam did the same thing.. I used LS1edit to increase the fuel at WOT.. She is PERFECT now..
ROCK ON with the Vararam...
