Ok guys took them out for a real ride this weekend. Headed up the West Side Highway to Corvetes of West Chester and then back home via Tappen Z bridge to GSP. The road up provided some nice long sweeping curves, some quick turns and some long straights.
My comments still hold. The car turns much quicker and the car hugs the road. Straight aways are fine, long turns feel very smooth, and the car reacts quickly to quick turns.
I am still getting use though to the quick turns. It feels like no effort and since I am not use to not struggling with the car I feel that something is wrong even though the car shows no sign of moving or sliding out. I should define struggle better. Before in a turn I needed more effort to make the turn. I felt the car fighting against me in the turn. Now I say turn and the car turns without hesitation. I know I will like it as time goes on, but I am so use to that feedback and having to manage the car that it seems like I am doing something wrong.
I did have an unexpected test to see if it will bottom out. I was heading back to the GSP via the NY Thurway without realizing they were doing work. Well anyway there was a spot that the new pavement ended and went to old and then back to new. It created this huge dip and when I hit it at 75 mph I held on assuming it was going to bottom out. Well the front wheels dove down then the back, but I did not bottom out.
Now this was with the front 2 tires hitting at the same time. I did hit a dip in the road with just the passenger side front wheel and I did hear the black shroud hit the pavement.

I know in your previous post you stated that the ride was definetly stiffer but in your opinion is it harsh?
I don't think it is harsh at all. Yes I feel the bumps more, but nothing that rattles my teeth. I thought when I hit that bump on the NY Thurway it was all over, but it really did not feel that bad.
Just talked to person @ Fred Beans today and they said they were expecting a shipment in tomorrow and they would send mine right out. Hard to wait. Thanks to Wicked Weasel for being the test pilot.
Hi All,
Bob, first, thank you for the feedback and dedication again. We got 3 sets of shocks in today and they are already sold. Whoever bought the 3 sets are getting them shipped tomorrow.
We have plenty of people on the waiting list and I will deliver, as soon as possible. Believe it or not, we are the only dealer in the entire United States to order and stock these! When I saw stock was getting low I purchased all the last that GM had, and they're gone.
I have placed several subsequent orders and when they become available we will get them in and get them to our customers who we promised them to.
When everyone gets them I'd appreciate if you could come to the board and provide feedback. Many did not believe my trick of putting C6 shocks on a C5 would work, but it did. Since it did I like to provide as much feedback as possible so that everyone has more info to make a better decision of whether or not these shocks are for them.
The only thing left in the dust to figure out is how close these compare to 2004 Z06 shocks. I really want to save my customers and friends some money and if the 2006 Z06 shocks are the best than we all benefit.
Guys, I have to throw in my props to Gene at Fred Beans. Gene's service is the best, why he e-mailed me the status of my parts order from his blackberry in a meeting!
Great prices and great service. I order from him about once a month when the mod bug bites me. I sure wish my local dealers treated me as well as Gene at Fred Beans!

Not sure of the question, but I will try to answer. My car originally came with the stock base suspension. Last winter I changed over to the Z06 sway bars, but left the orginal shocks. The Z06 sways made the car much better in the turns, but it was still not what I wanted. I swapped out the base shocks with the new C6 Z06 shocks. I had heard good things aobut the 04 Z06 shocks and I figured I would give the new C6 Z06 shocks a try. Well for my car the new shocks improved the handling a ton.
I wonder how the C6 Z06 measure up to the Bilstien? I went from stock (hoover craft) suspension to the Bilstien and the difference was night and day. Before the change my Vette was floating all over the road after every bump, now she is planted. Congrats on the upgrade Bob
