A4 Launch Info Needed

Looking for some help from experienced A4 folks. What launch technique, rpm, etc... do you use? Thanks.

I'm no expert ...been to the track 2 times. I have gone thru many mods...see sig below.

But I can tell you your launch will depend on several factors: tires/gears/HP/TC/traditions.

I have a 02 Vert A4 w/ 3.15 gears, LT headers, high flow cats, X-pipe, Borla Stingers, Hurricane Intake, 160* t-stat and the stock run flats. Since installing the mods, my 1/8 mile ET has dropped about 3-4 10ths w/ about a 2.5-3 mph speed increase (from 8.7 @ 83.08 to 8.4 @ 85.58mph). However my 60' times have remained almost identical to the pre-mod numbers and I am spinning almost all the way through 1st gear. I know the run flats are part of the problem but just wanted to see if I was launching at too high or too low RPM or if there is something else I can do to hook up and lower the 60' time. Thanks.

I launched my A4 315 on runflats by simply stomping the gas from idle, no power break. I also got the runflats very hot during the burnout. My best 60' was a 1.87. I did not spin at all.
