I use the Chevron with "Techron" - this one says it cleans the entire combustion chamber, not just the injectors. I have used if for years in all of my rides- I’m sold on the stuff.

I believe that that over the counter stuff, and premium fuel additives may or may not have a positive impact on your fuel/intake build up, they certainly won't hurt. I'd recommend having your car "motor-vac'd" every 30k miles, then you "know" it's being douched out. Runs about $120 at most shops. Why do I think this?
I run a fleet of 220 GM 1/2 ton trucks and having seen the underside of 75% of their intakes after 60-90k miles (intake manifold gasket design is flawed) I can tell you that there is a signifficant difference in the "sludge build up" on ones that have been motor-vac'd vs. the ones that haven't. As a result I'm a firm believer in motor-vac every 30k as preventative maintenance.
