Default Wheel size and alignment

I just got some 17" wheels in! GS dimensions, 11" rear, 9.5 front, with Kumho tires on them. The fronts are 275/40R17 rear are 315/35R17. Outside diameter 25.7"

I have a feeling that's different from the stock diameter, by a bit. How will swapping these wheels/tires with my stock ones affect my alignment, generally speaking?

Thanks.

It's a bit different. Your speedometer will indicate higher speed than the speed you are actually traveling. If you want to know the OD differences, go to TR site and pull the specs for the OE tire sizes and then pull the specs of the 17" tire combo that you are looking at. Difference is usually minimal, if you are ****, you may want to reprogram the PCM to get more accurate reading of the speedo.

The difference in offset will probably make a slight difference in alignment. The toe may change a bit more compared to using the old/stock wheels and tires but I'm not worried. What you may want to do, if you haven't done it, is to check the alignment so you can observe the wear and the behavior of the car starting with a good alignment specs.

Thank you. It looks like these tires/wheels are the same size, while the stock rears are a bit larger, but not as much as I thought. It's less than an inch difference, I believe. So not alot of difference. I may get my alignment guru to put the thing on the rack and check it out. I just had the alignment done, so I have an accurate sheet.
