74 Alarm Horn

74 Alarm Horn
Hi,
i just took off the alarm horn out of my 74 and found out it didnt work. so i drilled out the rivits and cleaned it up inside. It was basically a coil and a metal plate that looked like a soup can lid inside. The coil and contacts were corrosion free to begin with though. So i put it back together and tried it again and it gave that sickly un-alarm sounding noise like a electric motor that is jamed.
any ideas on if its a quick fix or not? Or do i just need a new alarm horn which i would perfer to not go looking for one but if it needs to be done, it needs to be done
