My 98 coupe is automatic and the car does shift better with the fluid. Smooth and quick.

Have Redline D4ATF in my 00 M6 for several years. It is about the same thing as RP.

I have used royal purple synchromax in my '01 Z06 and have had some high tranny temps at the end of the 30 minute runns with the SCCA and I have had no problems with the transmission or with shifting.

I use the royal purlple Max Gear for the diff and was told by royal purple that the additive was not necessary.

I put Royal Purple Syncromax in my manual tranny 1 week ago. Now it sounds like the tranny is going to fly apart. It is making alot of metal on metal clanking noises. This weekend I'm going to switch back to Dextron III to see if that helps. It could be a coincidence. I will send out an update after I do the work.

I to am using Royal Purple Syncro - Max in my tranny, it never shifted so smooth, also using RP75-90 in the rear end but I did add the GM posie fluid.

Great stuff, a lot of guys Autocrossing is what turned me on to it.
