parking brake adjustment

have a 2000 frc and the e brake does not hold. can it be adjusted?

like a brake drum adjustment.. you'll have to take the rotor off, adjust accordingly

Excellent link Mr Lucky; now I can get my workshop manual from my friend who has been tearing his hair out trying to get the parking brake to hold . .

We feel for you, good buddy. Frankly, I had to replace the right rear e-brake shoe. Moreover, the "E-Brake Auto-adjust" method (provided in the write-up located in the above link), also works well. Good luck to you.

I'll bet the majority of the e-brake problems are in the handle itself rather than the shoes.

I did this fix recently after years of a non-funtioning e-brake and mine works perfectly now.

More good information. Now I've got to go back to Sandy's with the new pages - I suppose it might be easier if I taught him how to use a computer . . .
