I just did mine. First buy 8 - No. 8 X 2" roundhead stainless steel sheet metal screws (about $.25 each). Measure each side of the outboard and inboard lights and record how deep they are sunk into the taillight recesses. You can buy Nylon spacers with a 3/16" I.D. and a 1/2" or 9/16" O.D. You want to stack these so that they add up to the depths of the taillight lenses. Next buy a 10 foot coil of closed cell black foam insulation, 3/8" X 1/4" or 5/16" thick. You will wrap this around the peripery of the oval lenses. Push the lights back into place and use an icepick to locate the original screw holes.

I did mine slightly different as I used some 1/2" O.D. wooden dowels that I drilled a 7/32" dia. hole through axially. I cut one end of the dowels at a slight angle eyballed to match the angle of the rear panel and made a trial assembly. Then I either lengthend or shortened the dummy spacers to obtain a flush fit. I had some 9/16" solid plastic dowels on hand that I drilled and cut to match the wooden ones.
