Does any one know what the differance is between the Z51 shock and the stock c5 shock and will they fit?

Thanks Larry

Mainly the Z51 Shock will offer a stiffer ride compared to stock shocks. They are also valved differently to adjust for the Z51's stiffer springs etc...I have the Z51 option in my car and it feels WAY different then a non Z51 car- of course it also has stiffer springs and larger sway bars to compliment the shocks. Yes, they will fit your car and will make the ride firm and you will notice bumps in the road more then before.

Most people go by way of the 04 Z06 shocks for an upgrade, but if you found a good deal on the Z51's go for it. I believe they have a little bit larger diameter (beefy) then your stock units.

Good luck!
