Passenger Headlight motor making noise.
I was having problems the other day with my rh or passenger headlight motor not coming up when the lights were turned on. I turned them off and then back on and they both came up, But now every time I shut the lights off and the passenger one comes down after it fuly shuts I hear the gears still going and making noise. Do I need to replace it or is there a fix for that? Thanks Ktrixx 2000 C5 Hdtp Cpe 6spd.

Replacing the gear is the easiest and least costly option. I purchased mine from Doug Rippie recently and it has corrected the problem. Make sure you either reverse or replace the two little plastic bumpers while you are doing this. It will save you tearing it apart again in the near future.

This happened to me, and I was going to change the gear, but after I got into it, I just didnt trust the old motor assembly, so I changed the whole motor with a new assembly.
If you do just change the gear, make sure the motor is not loose , thats why the gear went, and could happen again if you dont tighten the motor casing.
